Dr. Bradley Dean Selvan

Dr. Bradley Dean Selvan did his schooling at Sandringham High school and matriculated as Deputy Head Boy in 1980. He graduated from The University of Witwatersrand in 1986. He passed the Australian Dental Examinations (ADEC) in 1999. He passed the Dip Odont in Endodontics, with Distinction, at Pretoria University in 2007. Dr. Selvan’s special interest is Endodontics (root treatment) and he is a long standing member of the South African Endodontic Society.
Dr Selvan has been a Committee Member of the South African Paedodontic Society (Children's Dentistry) for over 10 years. His commitment to excellence is evident in his dental practice that was established in 1990 and serves the Midrand and Kyalami areas. It is known for its extremely high standard of care and high tech equipment and surgery.
Dr. Selvan's other special interests include children’s dentistry and his practice is very child friendly, with programs designed to make the child's visit to the dentist a pleasant experience.
The practice goal is for all its’ children to have zero cavities and restorations in their permanent dentition. To create and maintain good oral health so that minimal dentistry is required throughout the person’s life.
Mr. Gavin Atkinson
Dental technician and master ceramicist
Mr Gavin Atkinson is our Dental technician and master ceramicist. We are fortunate to have worked together with Mr Gavin Atkinson for over 20 years and we are very pleased to have him on site. Gavin grew up in Halfway House and schooled at KES. He qualified at Wits in 1995 and he obtained an extra degree at Pretoria University in 1996(Btec) and is an essential part of our team.
He is responsible for making porcelain inlays, onlays, crowns, veneers, implant supported crowns and bridges. He is an essential part of our team especially involved in our aesthetic and smile “make over” cases. He helps us to create beautiful smiles! He combines high tech technical expertise and artistry. He is a tooth wizard, who perfects each tooth, so that it complements the whole face. We match and choose colour, shades and shape of teeth, to suit and harmonize with your facial features and personality.
In 2015, Gavin purchased a state of the art milling machine, and is now a market leader in this new and exciting digital age. We are able to mill porcelain crowns and veneers, which fit perfectly and offer us metal free options for treatment.
Ms. Usha Bhoola
Oral Hygenist
Ms. Usha Bhoola, enrolled and studied at Medunsa and completed her three year oral hygienist degree at Medunsa (BOH), finishing in 1995. She has worked for many years in private practice and in 1999 she completed an Expanded Function Course for Oral Hygienists at the University of Pretoria.She has also worked in Cape Town for Implants for Africa, both in sales and as a consultant.
Ms Usha Mistry is a very kind, positive, professional and a spiritual person, who is also a wonderful cook. We are very lucky to have her working in our practice
Ms Maryna Steyn
Oral Hygenist
She is a qualified dental nurse and also qualified as an Oral hygienist from the University of Pretoria in 2008.
Her motto in life is “Prevention is better than cure”
She is a team player, hard worker and her professional caring treatment builds patient relationships which earn respect and trust.
Ms Naomi Van Zyl
Dental Assistant
She is a qualified dental assistant and has many years of experience. Her calm and reassuring manner helps to relax our patients. She genuinely cares for our patients and their well being and is always friendly and helpful. She loves working in a team.
Nthabiseng Mokoena
Dental Assistant and Receptionist
Joined our dental practice in August 2022. Nthabiseng is a qualified dental assistant. She is friendly, softly spoken, always helpful and greets our patients with her warm and welcoming smile.
Nthabiseng keeps us punctual and handles most of our administration- sends out all our reports, treatment plan, x-rays, referrals, and scripts.
Lauren Berger
We are extremely fortunate to have Lauren Berger as our Practice Manager. Practice Manager is a key position in a busy dental environment and has many duties and responsibilities. Lauren is a teacher by profession and has a warm, friendly and empathic personality. She has been dedicated to the practice and works hard to oversee that all aspects of the practice run smoothly. She is the vital link between the Dentist, staff and most important of all our wonderful patients.
Lauren excels in the art of personal interaction. She is kind and respectful to all the patients and many staff members, always making sure that everyone feels welcome and appreciated. Lauren is also responsible for the lovely roses in our garden!
